TR IHX475 - Turbo Upgrade (Turbo Only) for VW / AUDI EA888 Gen 3 (MQB)

The perfect bolt-on upgrade to make big power while retaining the original intake, downpipe, and intercooler! Derived from a stock IS38 housing from the VW MKVII Golf R and Audi S3, Tomioka Racing increased the factory housing velocity volume in order to house larger and better bearings, compressor wheel, and turbine.

This turbocharger is completely new and manufactured from the ground up. Rather than putting new internals in a stock IS38 housing, Tomioka Racing constructed their own housing to use with the custom internals, proving beneficial as all defects with the stock IS38 internals and housing have been corrected such as housing cracking and stock shaft breaking.

The IHX475 is the next step up for making power with the VAG MQB platform modular chassisand EA888 1.8T/2.0T engines. Thanks to a re-engineered billet compressor wheel, the IHX475 is able to deliver more power with a quicker response than a stock Golf R/S3 turbocharger, maintaining its durability in high boost situations. Created for longevity with strict tolerances, the turbocharger is VSR balanced at high speeds.

The IHX475 Turbocharger features a lightweight stainless steel loss wax finished exhaust housing as opposed to the cast iron housing of the standard IS38. This allows the IHX475 to be lighter than the IS38 overall and have better heat retention. The IHX475 can also be mated to fit in the EA888 Porsche Macan Turbo.
